Law of restoration:

  • Alma 41:14–15

  • Helaman 15:30–31

  • This takes an eternal rewards/punishment view, but this principle is applicable for all time durations.

    • Also known as the law of the harvest.

    • Commonly repackaged as the Law of attraction for success seekers.

    • Evil is seeking to thwart this eternal law

      • Example Political parties or secret combinations/fraud/ bureaucrats shielding eachother from persecution, etc.

  •
    • Tyrannical laws or laws that could seek to thwart the law of restoration.

- Seat belt laws

  • Laws enforcing the Word of Wisdom

  • Liberty is only one end of the Law of restoration and the other end is the accountability for one’s actions.

Quote by Joseph Smith:

Come, all ye lovers of liberty, break the oppressor’s rod, loose the iron grasp of mobocracy and bring the condign punishment to all those who trample under foot the glorious Constitution and the people’s rights.”

  • Quote summarizes the mission of LDSLiberty to call all lovers of liberty to join together against the tyrants who violate the Constitution and individual rights

  • Another word for “mobocracy” is democracy or rule of the majority

  • King Benjamin said that if we are retaining a remission for our sins, then we will not have a mind to injure eachother.

    • We should realize that what we do in the name of democracy is injuring our neighbors and that is evil we are doing unto them.

BIOCHAR - http://www.biochar.org/joomla/

  • Franscisco de Orellana – sailed up the amazon saw civilizations that nobody else ever did.

  • Scientists realize he wasn’t crazy & they built their civilization on manmade soil fabricated from charcoal and pottery chards.

    • Charcoal or biochar has amazing surface area 1 square meter per 2 grams.

      • It’s incredibly porous and it holds water, nutrients and fungi that build the soil

    • Yields are improved for most crops on most soils and people are making self feeding processes that capture heat, gases and oil from the process to make energy.

  • People want to use government to fund research and possibly subsidize use of bio-char

Paradox of frugality-http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123120525879656021.html

  • Based upon the false claims that spending/consumption creates wealth

  • “Economy” is a false idea / collective term

  • Violates the teachings of the prophets

  • Government discourages saving and encourages spend-thrift ways by printing new money (reduced incentive to save)

  • Inflation is a hidden tax

  • Get out of debt and the lives of all will be improved
